February’s Perfect Post
So… I didn’t ever manage to do my Soap Opera Sunday yesterday. To prove that I’m not trying to milk the suspense or anything, I will bring you a special midweek SOS… Plus, it’s just, like, totally time to end the SOS of lengthy lengthiness. Yeah…
In the meantime, though, it’s time to hand out the Perfect Post Award for February.
I give this award to Abish for this post. The post is a true story, dark and terrifying, and honestly and exquisitely written. From Abish I’ve learned about terror and pain, but also courage and forgiveness. If you haven’t read this post, you simply must do so now.
Congrats, dear Abish, for writing the absolute perfect post.
(Thanks to Suburban Turmoil and Petroville for hosting these awards. Check out their sites for the complete list of awardees.)

Thumbs up to Abish. I emailed her post to a friend of mine to share. I was very moved by what she wrote. Looking forward to hearing the end of your (this) saga.
Well, well deserved.
I’m running off to teach, but I will definitely check it out later.
I read the article , written by Abish. It is really awesome. I think you are right . This article deserve to be the best.
Keep going
Excellent choice. Very well deserved.
I agree. It IS a perfect post and thanks to Abish for being willing to share.
Thank you so much; I am both humbled and honored.
Wow.
Way to pass on the love, Brillig!
A perfect award for Abish. I thought to do the same. It was an incredible piece.
Abish’s post was amazing - I’m so glad you nominated her.
A troubling post, to say the least. It lingered in my mind for a few days longer than I should have liked, a ghost that would rattle its chains when all other thoughts were silent.
Considering my cavalier–sometimes callous–approach to most things, it is a testament to the post’s impactfulness (or better said, to the author’s narrative adroitness and sensibility) that I brooded on it at all beyond my next click. Far from being Alt-Tab’ed into oblivion, it had done its work in me.
What an intense experience. Honestly, I found it very hard to read but I was so proud of her for telling the story. It was truly well written.
Wow, that was in incredibly post. Incredibly well written and vivid and scary all at the same time.
I hope it was cathartic for Abish to tell.
Hi there! Long time! I’m off to read the post. Anything you recommend can surely be nothing but outstanding.
I actually cried. It was almost too much to take. That had to be one of the most vivid posts I’ve read in a while. I’m still pushing my jaw back in it’s place. She is very brave indeed.
I found it very hard to read but I was so proud of her for telling the story.
