Shhhhh! Don’t tell!

Published by Brillig at 10:27 pm under confessions

I’m sitting here watching the world premiere of High School Musical 2.

My kids are in bed. They are not watching it with me. That’s right. I’m watching it BY MYSELF.

I told them I’d TiVo it tonight and they can watch it in the morning.

But me? I couldn’t wait.

Oooh, Zac Efron is singing now. Dancing too. Gotta run.

:-)

I loved high school musical. I really want to see the second one, but alas…we have no disney. Some friends are taping it and we are supposed to watch it with them for FHE on monday.

I thought it was a total “Disney” production…..a bit too produced. JMHO.

I guess I should break down and watch the first one! I know all the songs from listening to Radio Disney, but I haven’t seen the movie!

Aha! I just knew you were a teenager pretending to be an adult!! Your disguise has just failed you!!

I have this thing where I get put off programmes if the kids like them, too. I used to love The Simpsons - now just can’t enjoy it if they’re all sitting there with me with the youngest going, “What? What? Why’s that funny?”……

I have heard of this High School Musical but haven’t seen it. Guess I will have to ask the kids what is it. Maybe they will know…lol. Enjoy!!

    OH! I missed it!

But, I did finally go see Hairspray yesterday. What a fun movie!

    And that Zac Efron…

    Ahhhhhh…..

I stayed up too–but with the kidlets. It was fun to see St. George in the background of nearly every shot. There’s also a brief scene with a guy who I went to high school with and who is my one of my BIL’s best friends (you missed him by 2 years).

Brill, you’re rubbing off on me. The other day something frustrating happened, and I yelled, “Frickin Brackin!”

Then I promptly burst out laughing.

That would have been me, except for my 11 year old daughter would have sitting beside me. There is no way she would have let me watch it alone.

My daughter will be soooooooo jealous when I tell her this.
We will be waiting, waiting, waiting for a DVD release here.

    Giggle!

I’d have come if you had invited me!

  15. Jewelson 18 Aug 2007 at 11:40 am

Ahhh! I am SO jealous! Yes, I must admit. Watching the countdown on Disney has made me secretly want to watch it…and I missed it. Although I will tell you that I watched the first one while I was home alone one night! Hehehehe! I love you so much, I LOVE that you admitted this. Lets rent both of them some night and have a marathon with yummy treats, deal?

I actually forbid my children from watching that movie, because it looked unnacceptably lame to me.

Brillig, I just wanted to let you know that my Soap Opera Sunday is up. I’m not sure I’m going to get to the computer later on, so it’s up and ready for you!

I’m so laughing because we don’t have cable so I had my day-care provider tape it for me. First thing this morning I ran over to her house and picked up my tape. Sam was so excited that she has spent every waking moment today watching that movie. I think she’s on her second or third viewing as we speak.

And I loved it! I thought it was so good!

(But we won’t tell anyone, will we? Thought not.)

No you’re NOT! I don’t believe it! Well, to be honest, I’d probably watch it with you if I could…

    Hi sweetie.

Miss E loves High School Musical.
We can’t wait to see the second one.
    Is it good??

  21. Kateastropheon 19 Aug 2007 at 11:15 pm

So, um I’ve never seen the first one, but I just sat through the SING-A-LONG version of the second one.

I think my ADD was in full force because I didn’t pay full attention, however, Zac Efron is beautiful and I sort of worship him in a very disturbing, probably against the law sort of way.

    Ahem.

    That is all.

I totally get that! I had the benefit of having four girls between the ages of 6 and 10 to cover for me, but when they lost interest in it, I kept watching!
