I wouldn’t be too worried. Imaginary friends are pretty common. I would much rather have an imaginary friend to tote around than the 6 hippos my son insists on having.

I had an imaginary friend named Nikki. She looked and acted exactly like me. And we were best friends. So, looking back I can imagine how narcistic that must have seemed, but Nikki got to at least live out my fantasy of having very long, flowing hair when my mother insisted of giving me a bowl cut.

Sunshine had an imaginary house up in the clouds where ALL her kids lived (we never got an exact count, but I think there were around twenty). She had horses and Pegesus'(Pegusi?). Whenever she couldn't do something she was like, "I'll just go to my house and do it." She was always telling stories about her kids, about how naughty they were. It was funny for a while, too. She quit talking about it a while ago, but most people remember that phase.

Haha Kate, I can't believe you remember!

I had an imaginary friend for a long time. Her name was Cantsee, get it? Can't See- hehehe I was so clever!
My mom says that she was just part of the family. I don't really have any specific memories, but I do remember having her around- I needed a sister I guess.

Rylie's imagination is in full force these days too! Her current imaginary frined is Lightening McQueen from the movie Cars. She calls him "Lightnin'"
He comes with us everywhere. Sometimes she will burst into tears if she feels he is being mistreated (like I set something on the seat he was sitting on, etc.)
She is also obsessed with weddings. She is going to get married to her friend Christian in 5 days (she has told me this everyday for the last 2 months). Also, at her wedding she is going to wear a white dress and hold flowers from Costco and people are going to throw petals at her. Oh, and then the 4 babies that are in her belly will come out.

Welcome to my life . . .

I myself didn't have an imaginary friend, but I imagined just about everything else. Sheila, I'm sure, will share her story about HER imaginary friend on here. Just you wait folks, it's hilarious!

That daughter of yours is seriously so awesome. I love, love, love her!
