The devil’s in the details
So, I bought these shoes on Saturday night. I thought they were so darling. I had Bubba with me and I was kind of in a hurry anyway, so I didn’t bother to try them on. After all, I KNOW my size, right?
So, I wore them to Church on Sunday. I put them on for the first time as I was walking out the door. “Youch,” I thought. But, I knew that in the next few minutes my feet would adjust to them.
Nope.
The next three hours of my life were absolute hell. Hell at Church? Yes, indeed. Especially because I was teaching the third hour. Which meant that everyone in the room COULD SEE me hobbling around on these shoes. I looked like a 10 year old girl wearing her first pair of heels…
Take a good look at them, because this is the last time you’ll see them, as they are headed back to the store from whence they came.
Love the shoes . . . I have SO been there with the “oh my gosh this is so painful I just want to die” and I agree, shoes like that need to go BACK!
The shoes are nice - but if they aren’t comfy take them back… I’ve spent time in shoes that made my life a living hell, and I have the scars on my ankles to prove it… Now that I’m not so young as I used to be I live for comfort…

Thanks, Laila! I begged for your help on learning banners, and it turned out that my little brain is starting to learn these little things all on its own! I’m feeling so grown up!
Of course, I realize, I’m still starting out here. I’m trying to learn from all the masters out there…
By the way, the shoes were returned and fully refunded to my little debit card, who is most grateful because now it can buy me dumb stuff like GROCERIES.
I, too, love the new look. However, I thought you were going to leave your kids out of this blog! Hahaha. I guess they always find their way back in, though, don’t they! It’s cool, though, because they are SO DANG CUTE!!! And that baby of yours is a perfect little Gerber baby!!
But they’re sooo cuuuttee! Can’t you just do like I do…post their picture on Flickr and hang them on a shoe rack so you can look at them and sigh? Guess that won’t get you your money back, huh?
I have to agree that I love the new design! Good for you for figuring out how to add a banner! I couldn’t, so I gave up! Haven’t tried since!
Oh no! I love the shoes, I’m sure we’ve all been there. I actually saw some shoes like that in Yellow…now I’m wondering if it’s safe to buy them!
